This is the third straight bitter sembreak for me. I've moved out of the dorm for good and I'll be going back to waking up as early as 4 in the morning. All for a new house that my parents want. Honestly, I don't feel like stepping in a house that squeezed out my entire parents' savings just for it to be built. But who am I to oppose their lifelong dream? If that's what they want, I can't stop them. If it entails me to sacrifice the things that make me happy for that so-called white elephant, I'll do it.

Since my family has fallen on hard times, I have to say goodbye to the life I used to have. Goodbye anime conventions, goodbye maid cafes, goodbye cosplay. Also, I'm planning to take a leave of absence, starting Second Semester this year until the Second Semester of SY 2010-2011. This is to help them with the monthly home mortgage (P16,000/month for 15 years). After the sem starts, I'll be finding jobs that require manual labor, such as house painting. I'm not saying goodbye, since you might see me when you will have your house built and/or renovated.

It is true that tragic events in people's lives scar them permanently, and my case is no exception.
